1. Assistant Manager (Scale-I): These are entry-level officer positions.

The exam pattern for the GIC Assistant Manager (Scale-I) generally consists of three stages:

1. Online Examination:

• Sections:
  • Part A: Objective type – Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Numerical Ability & Computer Literacy
  • Part B: Objective type – Technical & Professional Knowledge Test in the relevant discipline
• Mode: Online (Computer Based Test)
• Duration: 2 hours

2. Group Discussion (GD):

• Candidates who qualify the online examination are called for Group Discussion.
• This stage assesses candidates’ communication skills, leadership qualities, problem-solving ability, etc.

3. Interview:

• Candidates who clear the GD round are called for a Personal Interview.
• The interview assesses candidates’ suitability for the role and their overall personality.

Syllabus:

The syllabus for GIC Assistant Manager examination typically includes:

1. Reasoning: Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning, Analogies, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Directions, Seating Arrangements, Puzzles.
2. English Language: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Error Spotting, Fill in the Blanks.
3. General Awareness: Banking Awareness, Current Affairs (national and international), Static GK (important dates, personalities, awards, etc.).
4. Numerical Ability: Number Series, Simplification, Average, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Data Interpretation (Tables, Charts, Graphs), Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Speed & Distance.
5. Computer Literacy: Basic Computer Knowledge, MS Office, Internet Concepts, Networking.
